Landscaping your property doesn’t have to be a complicated process. We understand it can be a bit overwhelming, and that is why you are considering hiring a professional to help out. We have also found that when everyone is on the same page, and our clients know what to expect, then the whole project runs just a bit smoother.

Where do I begin?

After calling our office to set up a meeting, we will meet you at your home or job site to get a lay of the land, take some pictures and measurements. This usually takes about 30 min. to an hour to discuss ideas, expectations, your budget and design options.

I don’t have a plan, can you help me?

If you have worked with a landscape designer and have a plan in place already, a copy is always handy during our visit. If you don’t have a plan, not to worry. Our brains love to take an empty or past due space and turn it into something magical. We offer large scale designs down to simple site sketches and plant list storyboards. While this design service does have a cost depending on the complexity of the project, if we are contracted to build and execute the design at your home, we will often credit part of the design fee towards the cost of the whole project. In turn, once a design is in place, it can be emailed over to HOA’s for approval or to keep on hand when your neighbor asks what that gorgeous tree is in the front yard is. It also allows our crew a map to build the project from. Pictures you have pinned on Pinterest or saved on Houzz, clipped from a magazine, or taken with your phone or camera always help us to understand your style and vision for the area.

Do you offer free estimates?

Once we have a a design or specific plan in place, we will then put together an estimate outlining line by line project details and options. We can simply tailor the estimate to fit your budget and needs. Once the estimate is complete, we will email over the proposal, and or set up a time to meet and go over the concept if samples or pictures need to be presented.

Why should we hire you?

We are insured and take the proper precautions and actions to be as safe as possible while working on your property. Our pricing reflects the growing trends in the industry, and is competitive. We stand behind our quality craftsmanship on our builds, and work with each and every client to provide options and designs to meet all budgets.

Can we phase out the projects?

Absolutely! We work with our clients throughout the year as well as into the upcoming years to meet their initial budgets and their growing needs.

Can I help out on a project to help lower the cost?

Unfortunately, no. Our insurance agents have discouraged us from allowing you to help while we are working on your property. We however have no issues if you would like to pull up a chair, grab a beer, and watch us from a safe distance for a few. That being said, we are always willing to take into consideration when preparing the estimate, those certain items that you can accomplish before or after we have completed our part of the job to help save some cost on the project.

Do you offer financing?

Yes! As an Authorized Belgard Contractor we are able to offer same as cash financing through their bank. An easy short phone call to them can make you eligible to finance your entire project. It is all done electronically and no checks are written. Preferred Payment

The estimate works with our budget, now what?

If everything looks good, all you need to do is to make sure you read through our “mumbo jumbo” on the estimate and sign a copy. Once we receive a copy of the estimate back to us via snail mail or email, we will get you on the schedule. We will also collect 1/3 of the project deposit. The “mumbo jumbo” section on the estimate has more details.

I really want to get the miles and points so I can visit my dear Aunt Betty in Ohio, do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we do. If we know ahead of time we can arrange to swipe your card in person. Note: in some instances, a credit card use fee may be added to your total invoice.

What if I change my mind?

If you do decide after the estimate has been signed to add in that fire pit and paver patio this season, no need to fret. We will work up a change order, have you sign it, and hi ho it is off to building we go. We understand certain circumstances do happen where the project must be put on hold, or cancelled. These situations are dealt with one on one should they arise.

We are excited to begin, when will you be out?

Our build schedule is quite possibly one of the trickiest things we deal with. It involves many factors such as site conditions, what job we are currently working on, and our favorite boss, “Mother Nature.” We do our best to not be too far out on the calendar once you say go. We know when you have made up your mind to tackle a project, you want to enjoy it sooner than later. But keep in mind we are not a huge company. We are craftsmen who like to take our time and do our best to get it right the first time. We also don’t want you to wonder when we will be out. We will estimate a start date for the project, and keep in touch with you throughout that time period so you know best when to expect us.

Do I need to do anything before you begin?

Approximately a week before your project begins, we will call in a utility locate for your property and let you know to have gates unlocked and pets inside. The locate helps us to know where they have hidden your high speed internet cable in the yard and keep all the other important services you need on a daily basis intact. If you have kiddos and or pets who like to leave their toys, and “surprises” in the area we will be building, it always helps to have things picked up and moved out of the way, so nothing gets damaged or lost. Same goes for your old grill, patio furniture, that old kayak from college leaning up against the house.

What can I expect the first day you start?

In some cases mobilization is the first day of production. Depending on the project, equipment, tool trailers, and materials will be delivered to the site that day. If we need to place any of those items in the street we will do what we can to set safety cones around them so they are visible to curious neighbors, small children, and passers by walking pets. The Owner, Operations Manager or our Foreman will always be at the project daily to make sure things are running smoothly and are available to answer any question or make changes along the way. Our employees are respectful of your property and try to keep things as organized and clean as possible. At times we may need to leave some of the machinery or our job trailer there on site. We will do what we can to tuck it away and make sure things are picked up at the end of each day.

Everything looks great, should I plan on being around once you are done?

Once the job is completed we will do a final walk through with you. This is our time to show you how any systems or timers operate, and answer any questions you may have about watering, sand, etc.. If you are happy with everything, then we will collect the final payment at this time. If you are not, we will do our best to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, we do depending on your project. Our warranty policy can be found on your estimate. We are not perfect and neither is Mother Nature. Situations happen, so we will do everything we can to remedy them so you can go back to enjoying your landscaping.

Help, I forgot what you said during the final walk through!!!

After all is said and done, we are never far away. We are always happy to answer any questions by phone call, email, or in some cases, a trip to the site. We try to check in periodically from time to time just to make sure you are doing well, and still happy with the project. But even if a couple of years go by and you need to contact us for a technical question, or just to ask what our favorite variety of tomato is, please don’t hesitate to get a hold of us. We like to chat about veggies, or if there is ever something we need to attend to, we will always return to the project and make it right. Our goal is for you to enjoy the outdoor space we created for you with your family and friends for many years to come.
